Contact/About Me
Hello, I’m Tanya and thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about me. I’m a full-time working mom to 3 energetic and loveable kids (Einstein, Superstar and Daredevil), 4 if you include Superhubby who is my biggest kid of all. They keep me young at heart despite coping with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) that, at times, makes my body feel like I’m 40 years older than I really am.

I’ve written a welcome to my blog post to let you know why I started this blog.
I hope you take a look around and enjoy your visit. Whether you are someone looking with ways to cope with RA, or someone just looking for a recipe for a tasty home-cooked meal or a good book to cuddle up with, I hope you find some helpful information that helps you look on the bright side and appreciate those small victories of motherhood.
My greatest joy in life is my family, it’s tough sometimes and magical at others. Life’s too short to waste energy on being overwhelmed by a to-do list or stressed out about situations out of our control. Stress just worsens my condition. Concentrating on those magical moments and the small victories that make life happy help us stay healthier physically and mentally. Sharing good news, happy thoughts and ways to carry us through tough times is what I enjoy doing.
Here’s hoping your days are filled with many small victories. I love to get comments so hope you will share with me your small victories, anything that made your day a little brighter or might help another reader brighten theirs.
If you’d like to contact me, please complete the form below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks for stopping by!
Tanya

I saw you on sits today and just had to stop by since we have the same name! We also have something else in common. I deal with fibromyalgia and have two kids. I know the challenges that come with coping with a chronic illness. Looking forward to learning more about your blog!
Thanks for stopping by Tanya! Sorry to hear you deal with fibromyalgia, it is a Challenge for sure. I would love to hear your tips for coping with a chronic illness. For me, I love cooking and reading as you might can tell from my blog. Going to hop over to your blog. Hope you will visit again soon.
Hi I am glad that I have found your blog, I am a book blogger from Australia. I have two children 6 and 4 that have Autism. as well as dealing with RA and Fibro. Reading is my relaxation and release from a stressful life.
Hi Aussie Bookworm, I’m glad you found me too. Oh my, two young kids with autism and do they have RA/Fibro or is that you? I feel for you and I’m sure you know why I’m all about celebrating those small victories in daily life. I have certainly enjoyed reading more as many of my other former hobbies have fallen by the wayside over the years and as my joints get worse. I will certainly visit and follow your blog shortly, I love discussing books with those who share my love for reading and hope we can support each other through our difficult journey with RA. I don’t have Fibro at the moment, but I know often the two diseases go hand-in-hand. Thanks for finding me and I look forward to getting to know you better.
Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog
You have it set up so I can’t reply to your comments, though I’m not sure how to fix that if you’re not using blogger. Just something to be aware of!
I just wanted to let you know that lots of my posts exploring the city are featured on my exploring page even though the photography page isn’t up [I've been so busy!!]. Also, I was wondering if you’d heard of project life? I am starting it in january and it is supposed to simplify scrapbooking A LOT. So maybe you should look into it and see if it is for you
[The website for it is http://beckyhiggins.com/
Nice to meet you!!

Hi linda! Glad you returned the visit. Hmmm, wonder why you can’t reply to my comment? Is it just me? I used to be on blogger and I wanna Say I had to install some plugin or enter code to be able to reply to people’s comments who weren’t on blogger (I remember looking it up in the blogger help section and copying in the code). I will have to see if I can find it. It isn’t something I set up intentionally to not receive replies, cause one of my favorite things is interacting with other bloggers. Anyway….
We live in NC so I look forward to visiting some of your DC spots next time we go. I hope to add some more of the places we go to my blog too because I love to travel. I have heard of project life but I haven’t actually used it yet. guess I need to look into it, thanks for the suggestion!
It just says you are a no-reply commenter when I try to reply through email. I know the steps to fix that through blogger [there's just an option to use your email address for replies], but I’m not sure how it works if you’re not using blogger.
I need to add more DC spots, I’m sure I will be doing that next month, I lived there for 3 months & then my boyfriend lived there for awhile for work, so I’ve explored it quite a bit…I just need to blog about everything we did!
You definitely should look into project life! Nice to meet you

Ok Linda, I think I figured out why and I posted another comment on your december Foundation pages post 1-10. And it’s kind of obvious when I looked at how I posted the comment. I only entered my name/URL so I did not provide you with an email address. Thanks for letting me know, I never really thought about it and I do like interacting with other bloggers. Entering just my name/URL stops the conversation so I won’t be doing that again!
Hi Tanya – I am so glad you stopped by my blog, and even more glad I came back! We have so much in common – with our losses and raising three children AND I also have an auto immune disease (two actually – thyroid and a Lupus like disease that they originally thought was RA.) I look forward to connecting with you more. Thank you again for visiting my page and commenting!

Hi Alexa, thanks for returning the visit. Wow, 2 auto immune diseases? I am sorry to hear that. Hope the diseases are under control. I hear that once you have one autoimmune disease, you are susceptible to others. Let’s hope we are done and have our fair share. Glad to hear from you and hope to connect with you also on happier subjects. Happy new year to you and your family!
Yes, that’s what my doc said. I had thyroid for a decade before the others set in. Onset by extreme stress and pregnancy. Go figure!!! And yes, I am fairly well controlled! Happy New Year to you too.

I read your introduction on the Moms Bloogers Club. I have Oesteoarthritis and many days I am unable to walk. However I do the best that I can. I have more good days than bad days so I am grateful that I am able to spend quality time with my family.
Visit me sometime @ http://www.fabmom.net
Hi Susan, thanks for visiting! I’m new to Mom Bloggers Club and looking forward to interacting and learning more about it. I’m very sorry to hear your pain makes you unable to walk. Our best is all we can do and celebrate those “small victories” everyday! I have to take very strong medicine to be able to walk and so for the time being, I am thankful that I can and for every magical moment with my family. My RA will flare for a variety of reasons including stress, the weather and hormones…some of which I can control and more often, what I can’t.
Gentle hugs to you and hoping you continue to have more good days than bad.
