Many of my readers are bloggers who want to network, build their community and grow traffic and let’s face it, earn some income off of your passion for blogging. Every day, blogging seems to become more complex and time consuming. It takes time to develop a relationship with your readers and build an email list and then longer still to see interaction and income from your effort. Like starting a business, blogging for income requires passion, dedication, knowing your purpose and a whole lot of hard work.
I love helping people chase their dreams, sharing blogging tips and consider it my small victory to help you achieve your blogging goals. You are not alone in your blogging journey. Whether you are a stay at home like me who wants to maintain a work-life balance and make income working from home or an entrepreneur who has a blog to attract more clients, blogging can help you achieve that income, if you do it right.
So when I saw this deal for the Genius Blogger’s Toolkit*, I snagged it for myself, pored through all the details and then had to tell you at least about my ten favorite courses I’m looking forward to completing. Some of my favorite bloggers who earn full-time incomes from their blogs are passing their secrets on to us!
I think many of these courses will complement what I’m learning in Elite Blog Academy* very well.

My Top Ten Courses from the Genius Blogger’s Toolkit
You know I’m a sucker for planning and list-making. As with any new project, I start out with a list of to-dos to make sure I complete everything. The planner addict in me wants to put ALL of the time management & productivity courses on this list, but realistically I know I eventually have to draw the line at planning and start executing! After reviewing many descriptions, enrolling in courses and testing out content, here are my top ten tools and bonuses I know will help me on my blogging for income journey.
1. List Building Jumpstart by Laura Smith
If you’ve read any full-time bloggers’ #1 piece of advice it is to BUILD YOUR EMAIL LIST! Am I right? It’s drilled into our heads. I’ve been a subscriber and loved Laura Smith’s I Heart Planners printables for a few years now. It’s been fun watching her business grow and she’s partly responsible for kicking off my obsessions for pretty printables and planners. I so want to make my own planner printables someday and I’m thrilled that not only is her list building course included in the bundle but her How to Create Your Own Printables webinar too! List Building Jumpstart is the first course I cracked open! Retail value $147
2. Daily Productivity Guide by Ruth Soukup
Ok, so I already had Ruth’s Daily Productivity Guide that I got as a bonus for enrolling in Elite Blog Academy*. I completed it before I started the EBA course itself and it helped me analyze my personal and blogging goals, break them down into manageable pieces, figure out what my time as a blogger is worth and organize my emails and tasks that come with blogging. I even got to inbox zero! So I can’t rave enough about the Daily Productivity Guide or Ruth’s concise advice and contagious if-I-can-do-it-you-can-do-it-too encouragement. The retail value of this guide alone is $97 so completing this course is worth the entire price of the 63 course bundle! (The rest of these are icing on the cake).
3. Instavaluable: Grow Your Instagram Basic Course by Myquillin Smith
Instagram is quickly becoming my second favorite social media. I have been taking part in planning and reading photochallenges and love the interaction I get on pictures that I snap all day anyway. I want to make blogging for income as fun as possible and I love playing around on Instagram. I’m blown away by the beauty of Myquillin’s Instagram account and with 71.5K+ followers, I can’t wait to see what she teaches us about growing our Instagram presence. Retail value $97
4. Affiliate Marketing: Secrets & Strategies by Katie Hornor
I’ll be honest with you, I don’t like ads. As a former host of Small Victories Sunday and Pretty Pintastic linkups, I visit a LOT of blogs each week. I love to visit but I dislike irrelevant ads in the middle of posts, ads popping up I can’t close out of and getting in my way of reading. It’s so frustrating! Don’t get me wrong. I understand they are bloggers like me trying to earn an income and I do continue to visit. I just REALLY don’t like ads myself so I don’t put them on my blog. I might be missing out on income opportunity but I only like to give you purchase links for products I use or would buy for myself. And that’s where affiliate marketing comes in. I need to get better at affiliate marketing if I’m going to be able to earn income! I know the basics but I really need to get a better grip of what seems to be my sole income source from blogging right now. Retail value $75
5. The Blogger’s Guide to Online Marketing by Problogger
Problogger Darren Rowse talks and we listen, don’t we? The blogging guru is sharing his 31 steps to a profitable blog and I’ll be taking notes. There are several strategies I have not tried before and not only does it come with course material but invaluable documents, sample pages and templates to help us develop and implement our strategies. Retail value $49.99
6. Eat Pretty Things: Your Guide to Food Photography by Trisha Hughes
I love food and am always looking for new recipes on Pinterest. I love to cook and feed my hungry boys but now that I share recipes on my blog, they know they have to patiently wait while I take a picture (or 20) of their food with my camera phone before they can dig in. My pictures are ok but I want my blog’s recipe photos to make people drool like I do when I flip through this ecbook. I’m hoping this course will help me get drool-worthy photos. Seriously, my stomach is growling just looking at this book! Retail value $29
7. The Knowtbook by Amy Lynn Andrews
I’ve followed veteran blogger and entrepreneur Amy Lynn Andrews for at least a few months now as a subscriber to her Useletter. I love that she compiles tips she thinks we need to know about. I just read one today in fact about the Genius Blogger’s toolkit today that I had not thought doing but it makes perfect sense. Her tips are short, incredibly helpful, well researched and point you in the right direction to learn more. Now that I have access to her Knowtbook too, I have a wide variety of resources and posts at my fingertips in a no-frills, easy to search platform. Retail value $24
8. Time Management Mama by Beth Anne Shwamberger
Two sisters who are also wives, moms and successful small business owners share their advice on achieving work-life balance. They are the creators of the gorgeous Brilliant Business Mom Planners that came out recently. I’m eager to see how they juggle a thriving successful small business with 4 kids between them under 8 years old. Retail value $5.99
9. The Ultimate Freelancer Tax Guide by Caitlyn Pyle
Thinking about taxes is icky. Even though I’m a SAHM now, I am a CPA and former accountant and financial auditor and still I DREAD doing taxes. I know as I take the next steps towards blogging for income, that I will need my records in place and a whole new set of income and expense rules and deductions to follow. I found this guide very comprehensive and easy to understand even if you don’t have an accounting background. You might not want to think about it but having all your records straight throughout the year will save you time, money and stress when it comes to tax preparation time. Retail value $9.99
10. Blog Beautiful: 50+ Tips + Fixes to Make Your Blog Glow by Marianne Mathney
Last and in no way least, I’m a huge fan of Marianne’s Design Your Own Lovely blog and Blog Beautiful Facebook group. She helps bloggers DIY their own blog designs without having to pay a fortune for a custom designer. Her group is engaging and encouraging and they gave me constructive feedback in the many phases of my blog design from choosing colors and fonts to branding of my images. I’ve been wanting her Blog Beautiful book as I continue to tweak my design and make it the showcase for my blog so I’m ecstatic that it’s included in this bundle too. Retail value $24
And just because I couldn’t stop the list at 10, I’m throwing in a #11:
11. How to Start Publishing for Kindle by Jeff Goins
After completing the Daily Productivity Guide, I realized I’d love to write an ebook. It’s my complete stretch goal, bucket list kind of thing but if I’m going to try for it, I might as well see what I need to do to get there. This might not get done right away but I’d like to see what’s involved in publishing. As a book blogger, it wouldn’t hurt to learn what authors have to go through to get those Kindle books in our hands. Retail value $47
And the bonuses I want!
- 3000 pins FREE from Board Booster ($30.00)
- 2 months FREE from ConvertKit ($58.00)
- 2500 FREE credits from Mouseflow ($29.00)
- 2 months FREE from Send Owl ($78.00)
