Have you noticed I have a new blog design? How do you like it? I did it on the spur of the moment one night when I decided I wanted a cleaner, simpler design. The Tweak Me theme* I purchased from Ashley at Nose Graze makes it really easy for me to update my blog design without having to mess with HTML or CSS. I don’t stay settled on a blog design for long so this theme is perfect for me and it was a steal for all the customization capability it has. Since I purchased it, Ashley has introduced Tweak Me version 2* which has even more customization options and 6 premade designs too. I’m trying to hold off on buying that one but not sure I can, I love Ashley’s products and it’s why I’m an affiliate. I’m pretty happy with this design and hope you like it too!

Mom's Small Victories

Each week my co-hosts and I will feature our favorite bloggers from the previous week’s linkup. Visit each of my co-hosts to see who they’ve featured too.

Our Reader’s Choice for most clicked post was from Visually Kokoa who shared Do You Have a Media Kit? Well, do you? I don’t yet and this post was very helpful about using both free and paid tools to get your blog or business noticed with a killer media kit.

Some of my favorite posts were:

My boys love funnel cake and my co-host Heather from Gemini Red Creations shares this great homemade funnel cake recipe. It looks easy enough, I’ll have to make these on my cheat day!

My littlest guy is starting Kindergarten this fall so this post about 4 Killer ipad Apps for your Rising Kindergartener from Janine at Confessions of a Mommyaholic comes at the perfect time!

I detest ironing, it’s even worse than cleaning bathrooms to me so this Homemade Wrinkle Releaser Spray is worth a shot if it means I don’t have to iron!

My Weekly Recap

Reading:

A Few Good Men meets Scandal in The Ones We Trust by Kimberly Belle. An intense drama about a military family seeking the truth about the death of their son

I finished my 22nd book of the year, The Ones We Trust by Kimberly Belle. As with her debut novel, I loved this book! A story about a military family trying to find out the truth behind their beloved son and brother’s death. Intense and heart-wrenching, it was fantastic. I’m so lucky to be able to give away 2 copies of The Last Breath, 1 copy to US/Canada residents (ends 8/18/15) and 1 open to everyone (ends 8/31/15)! Be sure to enter to win, I love sharing great books with my readers!

the wonder of all things by Jason Mott

I started reading The Wonder of All Things by Jason Mott is a story about a young teenage girl from small town North Carolina who discovers she has unique healing abilities. I’m enjoying this one so far and will be bringing you a review next week.

Have you read either of these?

    • Good idea to grab it on sale. I think that’s when I got the UBB and tweak me 1. The only problem with the predesigned themes is not sure I’d be able to match it for other buttons.
