Feature & Follow {3}: Favorite Vacation Reading Spot
I joined Feature & Follow again this week hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read. Each week they pose a question to discuss, bloggers link up and follow each other and the featured blogger that week. Easy enough? Here we go.
If you are visiting me for the first time, Welcome!! I’m Tanya and enjoy reading classics, historical fiction, world fiction, literary fiction, non-fiction…ok well I like most anything. ย Please follow me via email or Bloglovin and I will return the favor. ย Hope you browse around and share your thoughts with me.
This week’s question is:
Q: Book Vacay: Where is the best destination reading spot for you? (Where do you like to go to read other then your home)?
I am a curl up in bed, covered in a blanket reader. If I can’t be home, my next favorite place to read is on the beach as my kids play in the surf. We are lucky to live near gorgeous white sandy beaches and it’s so relaxing listening to the waves crash as I read. It truly mellows me out and I could sit there all day (and I’m not one to just sit still for very long). Just give me a beach chair and umbrella, a good book, some sweet iced tea, a handsome husband and some happy kids playing in the surf or tide pools and I’m a happy lady.
Where is your favorite vacation reading spot? Where are you headed on vacation this summer? Let me know and as always, happy reading!
Thanks for dropping by my FF! Have a great week ahead. ๐ Beach is really popular! It’s no wonder since it’s summer season! ๐
Hate reading under the sun it makes my skin crack :))

I love to beach read too ๐
I’m jealous. Living near the beach is awesome, it’s like being on a perennial vacation!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog. I’m now following you back ๐
Oh I wish I lived near the beach, we are a couple hours away so get there a few times a year. It is our family’s favorite vacation spot and well, my favorite reading spot, aside from my bed. ๐
Thanks for following me back, I do appreciate it!
I really miss living near the beach. I read quite a bit in bed now. If I close the door, I can convince the family I’m napping and they leave me alone for a while.

Me too, Tanya!! In fact, we are headed to the beach tomorrow!! Sitting on the beach is my favorite place away from home to read. One of my favorite part of going to the beach is lining up all the books I want to take (or now that I am a Kindle reader, all the books I want to download) SQUEE!! It makes me happy just thinking about it!! ๐
I’m not a beach reader but you make it sound good.
I live pretty far from the ocean, but I live pretty close to Lake Erie.
Forgot to mention, new follower! Check out my FF at http://www.myviewpointonbooks.blogspot.com
I grew up on the coast of Lake Erie ๐
Oh wow! I live about 45-60 mins away from Erie!
Small world ๐
I am very much a in bed, snuggled under blankets reader!!! However, going to Florida in a couple weeks and it is the first time that not only will other adults be there to help, but also my kids are big enough I can sit and read without too much worry. So, I’ll get to see if beach reading works for me! We did get a pool this summer and I sit on my recliner seat under an umbrella on the deck and it is quite nice ๐
I love reading in bed on my tummy with a blanket pulled up. But, it’s a bit hot for that here right now. ๐
Happy Friday!
