Every week bloggers come together and share their best ideas at our Pretty Pintastic Party. It’s the perfect chance to share our newest posts or get some new traffic on old posts that could use some love. Today, I’m sharing an oldie but a goodie about Enjoying the Holidays with Fibromyalgia written by my blogging friend Brandi from Being Fibro Mom with a spanking brand new pin image.First, I’ll tell you a little about my post and stay tuned for the Pretty Pintastic Party below. (Tip: Haute Chocolate gives a couple free gorgeous stock photos a month to her subscribers, I used her candle photo freebie in the new image below).
The holidays can be tough for those of us with chronic illness. We WANT to do everything but the nature of our illnesses can zap our energy. We must learn to understand our bodies and our chronic illness so that we can celebrate the life we have and thrive in spite of chronic illness. That’s why I’m so glad Brandi shared her post about Enjoying the Holidays with Fibromaylgia and gave us not 1 but 10 Ways to Reduce Stress and Flares! While these tips are certainly important to surviving the holidays, they will also help you reduce stress and flares any time of the year. And they certainly can apply to reducing stress and a flare in symptoms for any chronic illness.
If you’re looking for tools to help you survive the holidays with chronic illness or you need a gift idea for someone with chronic illness, be sure to check out my Top 8 Must Have Tools in the Kitchen and Gift Guide for Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients.
Even if you don’t have a chronic illness, I’d appreciate so much if you would pin my post anyway to help others who do struggle with enjoying the holidays because of a chronic “invisible” illness like fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthritis. My hope is that raising awareness for chronic conditions that it will develop an empathy and understanding for what people are going through even though we may not see it. We certainly could use more empathy and compassion for our fellow man these days. Thanks!
