My Small Victories
What were your small victories this week, the little or big wins that made you feel successful, accomplished or plain fantastic? I finished reading The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up* and I’m really taking notice of how full my cabinets are of things I don’t need, and how my clothes and trinkets are no longer sparking joy for me. I foresee that applying the KonMari method to my clothes and belongings will take me a long time to get through but I’m ready to declutter.
We were talking about this book and our decluttering over on Instagram. Has Life Chaging Magic of Tidying Up helped you? How long did it take you to declutter? What was the hardest part for you? For me, it will be the books and the kids’ photos and artwork.
I love to take notes of the books I read in my Book Journal, something about writing it down helps me remember the book better and my reactions along the way. Still working my way through The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, at first I thought she was a bit nuts talking to her socks as she folds them but I gotta admit I was talking to my towels today as I folded them and they did look fluffier 🙂 . . . Have you read this book? Did it help you? What was the hardest category of items to get rid of for you? Do you talk to your clothes as you fold them and put them away? . . . #momssmallvictories #planwithmechallenge (notetaking) #bookstagram #booklover #bookworm #bookblogger #konmari #decluttering #minimalism #plumpaper #notebookaddict #bulletjournal #bujo
On the blogging front, I’ve been taking the FREE Dominate Search Engines using Webmaster Tools course* this week offered by Learn to Blog Hangouts. I love that Kelli and Crystal break down these complex subjects into simple actionable tasks that take about 15 minutes to complete (and today’s task took less than a minute, seriously!). I look forward to seeing positive growth in my search results. I’ve totally got it in my radar to buy the full course, as soon as I finish Elite Blog Academy* of course. Progress on EBA is slow and steady, I’m taking my time updating posts to make them even more awesome for my readers. I had fun updating this post on an eerily good ghost story set in Venice that you book lovers will want to get your hands on.
Well that’s the recap of my week, what were your small victories? Do tell, no matter how big or small!
