Featured Bloggers
Each week we will select bloggers to feature, our most popular and favorite posts to share with you. This week our Featured Blogger (again!) is Jen from My Nanna’s Wisdom who shared 7 Reasons Why I Won’t Read Your Blog Anymore. She tells us about her blogging pet peeves, #4 is definitely a mood killer for me too. I comment on a lot of blogs, and captcha is another pet peeve that drives me batty!
Some of my favorite posts from last week were:
Willamette County Wonder Woman shared 25 Excuses to Celebrate This Year. I love throwing parties and her party pictures are cute, creative and have some scrumptious looking food. Truth be told, #23 is my favorite and I’m sure it’s plain to see why. 🙂
Becomin Neurotic shared Living Better: Being the Change where she inspires us to make Random Acts of Kindness and even has a Kindness Movement board on Pinterest. Simple ideas to spread joy. #2 is one I have never heard and I need to do #4 for the hungry veteran who stands on the corner in our neighborhood. Thanks for these ideas Tia!
Chaos and Kiddos shared 7 S.M.A.R.T Goals for Working Moms. I love how she finds a way to measure how she will do to spend more quality time with her kids. It’s a goal most moms have and Katy gives us clever ways to rethink our goals and make them S.M.A.R.T. How S.M.A.R.T are your goals?
Congrats ladies and feel free to display our featured blogger button on your sidebar or page.
My Weekly Recap:
READING:
If you’re a weekly visitor you probably already know what I’m reading. The Poisonwood Bible is our January readalong selection for our Travel the World in Books Reading Challenge. We’ve discussed Books 1 and 2 and Book 3 on the blog and having a fantastic discussion on Goodreads, if you’d like to join the discussion there! I have under 100 pages left and GOTTA finish!
Up next I’ll be reading The Wife, The Maid and the Mistress by Ariel Lawhon which I won from a SheReads giveaway for my book club. I got enough copies for my entire club and we’re finally going to read it now that we finished the Harry Potter series. So excited to read this mysterious historical fiction novel surrounding the 1930’s disappearance of a judge and the three women who knew him best.
BLOGGING:
In case you missed it, here’s what I blogged about this past week:
Foodie February 2015: A Travel the World in Books Reading Challenge Event – signups open now!
Poisonwood Bible Discussion Questions for Readalong Week 2 – discussing Book 3
Be Our Guest Fridays {15} – Reading to Understand Life’s Transitions by Savvy Working Gal
Also, Bloggiesta starts this weekend. A long weekend dedicated to whittling down my blog to do list. Here are my Bloggiesta goals.
I’m also taking the Pinning Perfect class by Blog Clarity and My Life and Kids (affiliate link) that I won during the Blogathon Games. It’s fantastic already and I’m only on Day 2! I have a lot of work to do but I think it will be so worth it. I love Pinterest and I’ve seen an increase in referral traffic from Pinterest in 2014.
EXERCISING:
Rode the recumbent bike only once this week (boo). I was so obsessed with decluttering the kitchen cabinets that I was on my feet all day for the better part of two days. I was pretty exhausted. Still linking up with #FitReaders and #ReadersWorkouts.
