Featured Bloggers
Each week we will select bloggers to feature, our most popular and favorite posts to share with you. This week our Reader’s Choice for Featured Blogger is The Freshman Cook who shared Valentine Chocolate Hearts with Cookie Butter. Valentine’s Day might be over for this year, but it’s never too late for chocolate and cookie butter!
Some of my favorite posts from last week were:
Antonia from Antonioaisms shared a huge fitness victory with us. She has Multiple Sclerosis and managed to use her FitBit to walk 2 MILLION steps in the last year. I think that’s an amazing feat for someone with a chronic illness. Congratulations Antonia, you’re an inspiration to me, the past month I have not exercised at all because of life and pain.
All that Rocks shared this creative and elegant Bridal Shower Gift to commemorate a couple’s Year of Firsts. This is a great gift for a young couple for a bridal shower, anniversary or Valentine’s Day. I’ll have to think of a creative way to use it for people I know, most of who have been married for many years, it’d still make a great gift!
My Weekly Recap:
GIVEAWAY:
There’s just one more week to enter the giveaway for a SIGNED copy of The Last Breath by Kimberly S. Belle, open INTERNATIONALLY and ends 3/3/15 11:00pm EST. Must be 18 years or older to win. It was one of my favorite books of 2015 and I’m so happy this author generously is giving away a copy to one of my readers. Good luck!
READING:
I finished my 6th book of the year, the hilarious Love, Lies and Lemon Cake by Sue Watson. Faye is stuck in her marriage of necessity where her husband prefers spending time with plumbing parts and journals than with her. She meets a hunky Australian 10 years younger than her and he inspires her to take a better look at her life. Can she change her life and follow her dreams at 42 years old or is it too late? This book had me laughing out loud and heartbroken at the same time, another fun and entertaining book by Sue Watson.
I started re-reading The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon for our Travel the World in Books Reading Challenge group read for March (sign ups coming tomorrow). I read this last April and it was my favorite book of all-time. A must-read for book lovers, this gothic tale of mystery and romance was beautiful, magical and lyrical. The way Zafon weaves his words is a true art form. Whether you’ve read it or not, join us as we discuss this fantastic book in March!
