Featured Bloggers
Each week my co-hosts and I will feature our favorite bloggers from the previous week’s linkup. Visit each of my co-hosts to see who they’ve featured too! This week’s Reader’s Choice for most viewed post was my co-host Echo from Domain of the Mad Mommy who shared Love, Hate and Autism. An honest and heartfelt look at what it’s like raising a child with high-functioning autism. A must read to gain understanding and empathy for these parents and kids.
Some of my favorite posts were:
Creative K Kids who shared Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars that kids can make for Mother’s Day. Yes, please!
Coupon Diva who shared Organizing Your Affiliate Links. I love a good blogging tip and in an effort to monetize our blogs, it’s important to keep track of which links work for you.
The Art of Why Not who a Super Easy Spring Umbrella Display for your front door. I love the tulips in this arrangement, they make me so happy.
My Weekly Recap
Reading:
I finished my reread of Shadow of the Wind. Oh, I so love the twists and turns at the end of this book. So good and still my favorite! I admit the second time I had trouble focusing in the middle but it pulled through as the action picks up and the mystery surrounding these characters deepens.
I started Diamond Head by Cecily Wong for a TLC Book Tour, the cover is stunning and looking forward to this mysterious book taking place in China and Hawaii.
I just started Silkworm on the Kindle for my IRL book club. I haven’t read The Cuckoo’s Calling but I hope this works as a standalone book. I’m looking forward to seeing how J.K. Rowling approaches a thriller/mystery.

Here’s what I wrote about last week. Can you believe it’s the end of April already?

Home:
It was a good week on the cooking front. I made these banana crepes and made a couple into Baymax from Big Hero 6 for my littlest.
We spent a lot of time working on the garden and I was trying to get toys and clothes ready to sell. Still amazed at how much stuff these 3 little boys have. Good grief!

Linking this post up with these other fabulous linkies too:
WOW! Another fantastic link up! Quite the turnout, thanks for hosting. Mine is running this week also.
Tanya, may I ask how you make the buttons for your link parties all the same size and line up so neatly? I have had to start using text links instead of buttons because I can’t get a neat look. Always open to tips over here! 🙂
My where I link the party up to buttons at the bottom? I resize the image so the buttons are all the same height. Then just left align the buttons one after another (no spaces between them). Hope this helps!
Thank you! Things are starting to come together in my fuddled brain! 🙂
Thank you again for this linkup, and also for the shout-out! In the grand scheme of life’s important events, I realize this is small, but as I sit here watching news coverage of events just a few miles away from me in Baltimore, this did cheer me a bit. My heavy heart thanks you. <3
Glad you enjoyed Shadow of the Wind the second time around. My experience was just the opposite – it didn’t really keep my interest and seemed to drag in the middle the first time I read it but I liked it much better this time! Hope I haven’t missed all the online discussion? I probably did – I am behind in everything!
Your next 2 books both look great. I haven’t read either of the Robert Galbraith books yet either but would like to.
Enjoy your week and your books!
