We have some exciting news at Small Victories Sunday Linkup, we are welcoming 4 new hosts!
It saddens me that we are losing Alecia from Detours in Life as a co-host but she has decided to step back from hosting for the time being. I wish her well and thank her for supporting our great participants these past few month.
I am completely excited to add 4 new wonderful co-hosts in the next couple weeks. You may have noticed that I haven’t been posting my Throwback Thursday Linkup, it got to be too much with hosting this one and that one just days apart. Luckily, my co-hosts from Throwback Thursday, Heather from Gemini Red Creations and Tanya from My Fruitful Home, agreed to join our team! Rounding out our team is Brandi from Being Fibro Mom who has always been a great supporter of my blog and this linkup and my blogging friend Kimberly from Keystrokes by Kimberly who I “met” years ago it must be during one of my first blogathons. Each of these ladies has an amazing blog and stories to share if you just get to know them. I am still working on getting the pictures updated, so bear with me.
Back to the linkup…as you might already know, this weekly linkup is designed to linkup your BEST posts to inspire others to read, cook, craft, live well and blog well. Share with us anything that will help others live a happier and healthier life. Sunday is the perfect day to reflect and celebrate the week that passed and look forward to the week ahead. Our linkup is open all week long so feel free to stop by anytime, it’s never too late to linkup with us. If you need writing prompts or to see past linkups, visit our main Small Victories Sunday Linkup page.

Featured Bloggers
Each week my co-hosts and I will feature our favorite bloggers from the previous week’s linkup. Visit each of my co-hosts to see who they’ve featured too!
This week’s Reader’s Choice for most viewed post was my Alyssa from Life from My Laptop who shared her Monthly Blog Report. I don’t know about you but I really appreciate these posts that tell us how bloggers increase their following and what works or doesn’t work for monetizing their blogs. Thanks Alyssa for sharing with Small Victories Sunday linkup. Feel free to grab our Featured Blogger button!
Some of my favorite posts were:
Jo from Finding Joy in Everyday Life who shared 101 Ways to find more contentment and joy. Since becoming a SAHM almost two years ago, I have been finding much more joy in these little things. We don’t have to spend a ton of money to enjoy spending time together.
Bethany from Southern Couture who shared Tres Lehces Cake for Cinco de Mayo. I LOVE tres leches cake, so moist and perfectly sweet. I can’t wait to try this recipe at home for my Superhubby who is Mexican. Every time we visit his family in Texas, we are sure to get our fill of this cake. It’s a good thing they don’t carry Tres Leches cake in the grocery store here like they do in Texas, I gain weight too easily!
Rebecca from My Natural Family who shared Clean Eating Slow Cooker Molten Lava Cake . I love everything about this idea! Chocolate cake I can throw in the slow cooker without artificial preservatives? YES PLEASE!
Savvy Working Gal who shared Does Your Husband Take Care of You? I thought she started an interesting conversation, do you want or expect your husband to take care of you? Does your expectation come from how you were raised, your faith or your life since being on your own?
My Weekly Recap
Reading:
I completed my 13th book of the year, Diamond Head by Cecily Wong for a TLC Book Tour. This was such a mesmerizing book. Set during wartime in China and Hawaii, we learn the secrets that the seemingly perfect Leong family tries hard to hide. All is revealed upon the death of the patriarch of the family. A family drama about love, fate and destiny, this was a great debut novel by Cecily Wong. How many books have you read so far this year? I’m very slow this year!
I am still working on Silkworm on the Kindle for my IRL book club. I love a good mystery and this one has some eccentric characters that I am still getting to know. I enjoy J.K. Rowling’s writing style and so far, so good with this one.
Blogging:
Here’s what I wrote about last week.
- [5 May] Diamond Head by Cecily Wong ★★★★
- [9 May] Small Victories Sunday Linkup {49} – Welcoming 4 New Hosts!
Home:
* I loved working in the yard, pulling weeds, planting flowers and tending to our square foot garden. It’s great to be outside while it’s not too hot yet but man it was physically hard work. Totally counting it as my exercise this week. Luckily I did not send myself into a flare.
* My middle son celebrates his First Communion this weekend. Between family visiting for that and two of my oldest and closest friends traveling from out of state to visit us over this weekend, I’m cleaning and cooking like a mad woman to party with 30 people this weekend. Crazy, chaotic but a ton of fun!

Tanya! Congrats again on the success of the link up and the new hosts! Fantastic. I worked outside a lot this week and worked a catering, so I am in the same boat as you, overdid it, but boy, it is so hard not to during this time of year, right? Have a great week, take care of yourself!
