Welcome to our Small Victories Sunday Linkup!
This weekly post will recap for you the reading, cooking, health and personal goals I have been working towards this week and the achievements I’ve made both big and small. Each small victory brings me closer to achieving my personal goals for 2014. Focusing on my small victories has helped me gain a healthier and more positive attitude as I juggle my 3 boys and the physical impairment of Rheumatoid Arthritis (a chronic and incurable illness). I thought Sunday would be a perfect day to reflect on the week that passed and look forward to the week ahead. Please join me by linking up to 3 of your favorite family-friendly posts!

Recap of Last Week:
We had 74 great posts linked up last week for Small Victories Sunday Linkup 21. Thanks to each and every one of you!
I’m happy to announce, the Featured Blogger this week for most number of clicks from the party, is Carolyn from A Lavendar Life for her Mommy Reality Blogging Challenge. This sounds like a fun and fresh way to show the reality of motherhood without the pressure of perfectly posed pictures. Congrats Carolyn, be sure to grab the Featured Blogger button to display on your blog and thanks for supporting our linky.
Make sure to visit my co-hosts Jessica and Katy to see who they featured!
My Weekly Recap and Next Week’s Goals:
READING:
Next up is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix for our IRL book club. And since it’s a “big book”, I will be joining Book by Book’s Big Book Summer Challenge. What big books are you reading this summer? Be sure to join Sue if you have some on your list!
COOKING:
Last Week’s Menu:
- English muffin sandwiches with egg, ham and cheese
- Cream of Wheat with maple syrup
- Homemade Vanilla Coffee Creamer
- French Bread Pizzas and Italian grinder sandwiches
- Italian Sausage Lasagna from the back of the Barilla oven ready, no cook noodles box – Einstein helped me make this and loved all the compliments he got afterwards for a meal well done.
- Chicken and Cheese Chimichangas using slow cooker salsa chicken (cook chicken breast and salsa on low for 6 hours) and then at dinnertime just had to assemble and cook chimichangas. Daredevil enjoyed helping me fill and roll them up and brush with melted butter.
- Baked Sweet and Sour Chicken, rice and green beans

THANKFUL FOR SMALL VICTORIES:
- Attending our first bar mitzvah for my son’s good friend. Never been to one before and interested to see how this rite of passage is celebrated and share in good times with him and his family.
- After researching another medical bill, found out we owed nothing. Wondering how many claims I’ve paid in the past when I was working just because I didn’t have time to verify its accuracy. Thankful I caught this one.
- I had a great time meeting new bloggers and working on the Armchair BEA planning and commenting committees this year. It’s still one of my book bucket list goals to get to the main event, Book Expo America. But until then, I’m quite happy attending from my armchair and seeing the fun unfold in NYC.
- I won a middle grade book that my oldest bookworm actually had not read yet! The Brilliant World of Tom Gates, the style is comparable to Diary of a Wimpy Kid so I think my boys will enjoy it.

Wishing you a great week! =)
Hello, ladies. I’m new to the link up this week and just wanted to say thank you!
By the way, can I come to your house every night for dinner? 🙂
Harry Potter, hooray!! I hope you’re enjoying it 😀 Have a great week, Tanya!
It’s so sad to admit this but many times this is my “socializing.” LOL But I know some of the other bloggers could relate. I mean, I go out and socialize in person as much as I can. But I have a 1 yr old and a special needs child and so not many social prospects- at least for the whole family. For just me, I’d need a cheap babysitter. Our 12, babysitting age child IS the special needs child. Maybe prayers for babysitting cash. =) Glad to be a part of it~
Wow, you posted a lot last week! I’m impressed!
So glad to hear you are joining the Big Book Summer Challenge – I was going to tell you that Harry Potter was a perfect book for it!
I hear you on the medical bills – keeping track of it all is like a full-time job.
Enjoy your books this week!
Sue
