Such an exciting space ! Tanya – inspired by your blog – our book club – “Tell Tales” has decided to do the travel around the world through books challenge this year !
We’ve just finished the first book – The Forgotten Daughter by Renita D’silva which took us to India !!
Our goal is to read 6 – 8 books over the next 9 months and post our reviews here.
Really looking forward to our journey š
xx
Wow, I am so thrilled our reading challenge inspired your book club to read around the world with us! The Forgotten Daughter is a great place to start and it does make you hungry! Stopping by your blog. Hope you link up your reviews and keep us posted on your travels.
My goals? I have been gleefully spending January reading whatever I wish, without joining or matching it with any groups. It is great fun. As I commence traipsing around sign-up pages, I will enjoy seeing where my material fits. My collection entirely comprises physical books and reading challenges are always selected, based on what I own. Please visit my post in a few days, after I have re-read the guidelines and gauged my estimate for this year. I will probably keep cantering ahead past one year.
Reading whatever you want does sound wonderful! I am the worst though at reviewing books I just read for fun, it’s like I need the pressure of a blog tour deadline to get book read and reviewed right away. I will be stopping back by to check out your progress.
Hi bit late may I still join in please? and if so can I count the books I read while 80 days was going?
Sure! Just add our Travel the World in Books reading challenge button, link and info to your post and you’re good to go! We keep sign ups open so people can join anytime and participate as long as you like. Glad to have you join us Alberta and look forward to seeing your book reviews in our linkups!
Love this idea! Thanks for hosting. By the way I think I added my link to the wrap post. Oops! Sorry about that.
I finally signed up! Yay! Thanks for hosting such a fab challenge. š
Just added my link! Excited!!
Oh wow, what a great idea! But I’m a little late to the game – should I still join in?
Yes, you can join in anytime and participate for as long as you like. It’s a flexible challenge.
Done š Thank you!
I love that flexibility, Tanya, especially when the 80 books challenge fell off. I’ve changed everything over to relate to this one.. ThX!
I just started a second blog, the Northern Lights Reading Project, devoted to reading literature, history, travel, and food writing related to Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. I am definitely traveling the world in books, until I can go there! š Thanks.
I’ve also linked up my Fictional 100 blog, since it is committed to highlighting and reviewing literature from all around the world. Although Northern Lights will be my primary focus for the challenge, I may occasionally post on Fictional 100 instead, which covers a broader range of countries.
What a great idea, Lucy!
Unusual focus is definitely unique – will have to see what books I can find…
This sounds like so much fun! I have a stack of books from the library right now I’m trying to get through. They are school books though, not fun ones. š Working on that doula certification.
Thanks for linking up in the Bloggers Brags Party at Surviving Toddlerhood! I hope you come again soon!
Thanks Rebekah, good luck with your certification!
